The Center
The Windwood Center, which provides alternatives to the adversarial approach, helps families find solutions to conflicts in divorce and probate administration. The name "Windwood” was derived from the winds of change and people’s resiliency (wood) in the experience of change. We believe that divorce and family estate disputes do not belong in the adversarial system found in the family court. That system was not designed with these kinds of cases in mind. It serves to exacerbate these disputes, rather than resolve them. Windwood Center offers an environment where professionals and clients can craft solutions to difficult situations. We use tested non-adversarial approaches that focus on meeting the needs of the individuals involved in the dispute.
